ITALY. Roma. Issued in the name of the Roman Senate, circa 1350-1439. Ducato (Gold, 20 mm, 3.54 g, 8 h). SEN/ATOR VRBIS S PETRVS St. Peter standing right, presenting banner to a senator in the garb of a Venetian doge kneeling left; below, the arms of Cardinal Gabriele Condulmer (later Pope Eugene IV) and a rosette. Rev. ROMA CAPVT MVNDI SPQR (small head) Christ, nimbate, standing facing in mandorla with nine stars, raising his right hand in benediction and holding book of Gospels in his left. Biaggi 2127.
